Pilates? Sure, why not.

To expand my workout repertoire (which is currently Zumba 6 days a week, plus Power Pump and occasionally All Abs), I decided to try out a little Pilates. I loved it! Hard, but not discouragingly hard, and I feel GREAT today (I did it yesterday). My whole core is a little sore, but the good kind of sore, that makes you want to do it again. I think it will really help me tone those "problem areas" (or as Chris would say, my "fat side," which isn't really a "side" at all.. because I'm not a square) that need specific targeting. It was relaxing to stretch after each workout set, and I need that relaxation! Next I'm going to try adding a little yoga as well. Thank goodness its almost summer time, because I'll be spending a few hours at the gym every day pretty soon at this rate, instead of just 1 hour. Can't wait until my life is JUST thesis and gym. Oh wait. I'll still have work- oh well. Life will be really great when thesis and clinical hours are over. Free labor stinks. Wait, its paid labor, except I'm paying to do the labor. Messed up, right?? I just paid tuition to work 400 hours of my life away...

Thesis is finally REALLY going again, and it feels great. I just want to get it done and be free. I have 18 more hours to earn at my internship and then the only requirement to graduate I won't have completed is my thesis. My goal is by the end of May to be wrapping up.. we'll see :)

Oh yeah- I accepted a job working to Nebo School District, and I feel really really good about it!!! Actually, I am starting work there in 2 weeks! Pretty excited about that, as well as having REAL health insurance that actually covers something, and costs WAY less than we're paying now. Oh real world, how you warm my soul (so far). I will be working at Mt. Loafer, which is actually where Megan works (but is moving next year), and I took over her jobs at the BYU Speech clinic the past two years. So I guess I'll just continue following in her footsteps.. so far they have been great footsteps to follow. :)

General Conference and Easter was great- I got to go to the conference center for the first time ever! After living here 7 years, its about time. I have a list of things I need to do in Utah in the next year before we move, and that was at the top, so things are starting to get checked off!

Thomas is in his crazy mode, working 7am-9pm, Friday is his last day of classes. Oh how nice it will be to have a husband again the end of this month! I literally don't see him, except for when he comes out for dinner, but then we only get 20 minutes together before he goes back into his "prison cell" (aka our bedroom) to work for a billion more hours. He is a hard worker, and I appreciate it a lot. It has been great that throughout our marriage we've both been under pressure/stress beyond belief, but it has always worked out that when one person is about to die because of their work load, the other one can make it up and get all those extra things done around here. And Thomas is always so grateful- he says thank you for every meal, even if its like macaroni and cheese, which takes what 10 minutes?? Sometimes it makes me feel bad that he's so grateful and I gave him practically nothing because I was too tired or busy to cook a nice meal. But I guess that is life, and we love it- kind of. At least the part where we're together :)

Here are some random pictures from the last month- like when all my nieces from Denver were in town and we went bowling!

I was the big loser out of everyone. Yes, even the 5 year old. I have skills!

FINALLY in the conference center, thanks to Mitch and Michelli

The temple is in the background, but there is a lot of glow in this picture.

Most of my cohort in Logan at a TBI conference. So much fun together!
