Still working on the house issue. Problems getting a loan until my new job starts- basically just a mess because of Arizona being a Right to Work state. But once I start it won't be a problem. In the mean time, we are moving to AZ on July 1st and will be living in Thomas' grandparents home in Scottsdale (they do no live there in the summer). Hopefully we'll be in OUR house sometime in September!
In April, Thomas graduated from law school. HE IS AMAZING! He just got his grades a few days ago and ended with honors, in the top 40% of his class. Which is pretty darn tough. Way to go babe!!! All of my siblings and my parents were able to attend, and Thomas's dad and youngest sister were able to make it up. We were so grateful for those who were able to make it. It was fun being together.
In April, the day after Thomas' graduation, I sliced my finger open with a kitchen knife! It wasn't very fun, but it was my first experience with stitches and I got 7. Five weeks later, the cut is finally sealed up, but I have still not regained full feeling in my finger and it still hurts to press on the wound. But we're making progress :)
In may, I finished at my school. It was really sad to leave. My school, Mt Loafer was ranked #5 in Utah this year and the only one in our district to make the top ten! It was a truly amazing place to work and I will miss it terribly. The other SLPs in the district have also been wonderful and I will miss everyone. I am proud of myself- even for being a "hormonal pregnoid" as Thomas so lovingly calls me, I did not let any tears spill over. It was hard!
I have this week off, and my best friend Emma is getting married tomorrow. I am SO excited! Starting next week I will be doing a month of Palatometer therapy again, before we leave for AZ. Besides work and zumba, this next month will be packing and relaxing. And enjoying the horrible weather. Yes, it snowed today.
